Try a Yoga Nidra: A 15-Minute Practice

If you are curious about yoga nidra or simply need to take a pause in your day, I invite you to try this short guided practice. This recording is designed to support a sense of courage and inner strength and can be practiced at any time of the day.

How to prepare

Find a quiet space where you won’t be disturbed and settle into a "rest nest." Make yourself truly comfortable - ideally lying down with a blanket and a pillow, though a supported seated position works perfectly too. When you are ready, simply press play and follow the sound of my voice.

A note on resting

There is no "right" way to experience this. If you are worried about drifting off, feel free to set a gentle alarm for 20 minutes. This allows you to let go completely, knowing you will be called back when you are ready.

Try a Yoga Nidra: A 50-Minute Practice

If you are in need of a longer, deeper rest, you are welcome to try this 50 minute Co-Created Yoga Nidra. This session was recorded during our Monthly Yoga Nidra where the themes were shaped by the group attending. Thank you to those who shared their words: faith, hope, peace; slow; calmness; dignity & compassion; reconciliation.

What is a co-created yoga nidra?

A co-created practice is a unique collaboration between the facilitator and client. Before the practice begins, those attending are invited to share a word, a feeling, or an intention they personally need that day - perhaps "calm," "held," or "spaciousness."

These individual contributions are collected and then woven directly into the yoga nidra. This ensures the practice is deeply responsive to the needs of the people in the room at that exact moment. While sharing a word is always optional, it is a beautiful way to feel seen and supported within the practice.

What are the different sounds that can be heard in the yoga nidra?

During the yoga nidra you'll hear a voice, koshi chimes, sansula, moments of silence and readings. The tingsha bell chimes three times to clearly mark the beginning and end of the practice. You are invited to listen to the sounds of the recording, as well as the sounds that can be heard around you in your own space when you are resting.
